A fresh thread for the verbose
We didn’t get around to a fresh thread on Mothers Day weekend, so here’s one for those of you hanging out and chatting up the Leafs-Panthers Game 4.
Earlier in the day, the Stars dispatched the Jets to take a 2-1 series lead, but it came on a controversial go-ahead goal that saw an over five-minute video review for “kicking motion.”
Who would’ve expected it? The NHL’s long and blurry dalliance with an ambiguous rule comes back to bite them at a critical moment. (Of course, when this happens in the NFL, people just say “that’s why this is the best entertainment in sports, any given Sunday and any given ref…”)
