Brayden Schenn’s Point Projection for the 2025-26 St. Louis Blues

September 17, 2025 by Last Word On Hockey

Brayden Schenn remains one of the most dependable veterans for the St. Louis Blues heading into the 2025-26 season, and today we bring you his point projection. He is entering his third season as captain of the Blues. Schenn continues to provide steady secondary scoring while also bringing leadership and physicality to the lineup. With a role clearly defined, what can fans expect from Schenn offensively this year?

On Ice Impact

Schenn has never been known as a flashy scorer. However, his consistency comes from the little things. His reputation is built on gritty plays, winning puck battles, and driving plays to create scoring opportunities. While not the fastest skater on the ice, his smart hockey sense gives him the advantage of being in the right place at the right time.

Last season, Schenn recorded 18 goals and 50 points, maintaining his steady production and marking his 12th consecutive season with over 15 goals. The captain’s willingness to play a two-way role means he doesn’t always get the same offensive opportunities as some of his teammates, but that role is just as crucial for winning games. He brings a presence while on the ice. Whether that is on the power play or protecting a late lead, that’s the impact he brings that the other team can feel.

Durability and Consistency

One of Schenn’s greatest assets at this stage of his career is his durability. Last season, he appeared in all 82 games. This was the third-straight season that Schenn has accomplished that feat. Year after year, he finds a way to stay in the game and contribute on the ice, showing that he remains a steady source of production. Schenn has the ability to handle heavy minutes, face tough matchups, play both centre and wing, and maybe even drop the gloves after a shift.  This makes him one of the more reliable players on the roster. So, while his scoring pace may not compare to his peak seasons, Blues fans can count on him to show up and land in that 45-55 point range every year. The stability that Schenn brings is valuable, especially for a team like the Blues. This is a Blues team that is trying to balance youth development with experienced leadership.

Fantasy Points Prediction Floor and Ceiling

Floor: 45-50 points. Unless injuries become a factor, Schenn’s all-around game gives us confidence that he’ll still continue to chip in for the team, even in an underperforming season.

Likely Outcome: 55-60 points. Looking at his production over the last few years, this fits the mold and would be a slight improvement from last season.

Ceiling: 65+ points. If Schenn finds consistent chemistry with his linemates, and keeps finding open ice, we could see one of his stronger offensive years. Schenn recorded 65 points or more, just twice in his career. He had exactly that amount in 2022-23. In addition, his career high was 70 from 2017-18. That year he also had a career high of 19:44 average time on ice. His career average, over 16 NHL campaigns is 17:31.

Final Projection for 2025-26

We believe that Brayden Schenn will record 57 points this season, scoring 21 goals and 36 assists. This output aligns with his career average, and gives the Blues another steady contributor behind their top goal scorers. The captain’s leadership, versatility, and toughness will bring a different level of competitiveness to the Blues this season. Moreover, he will be a player that is looked up to. Schenn enters the sixth year of his eight-year contract, and while his biggest scoring years are likely behind him, his importance to the Blues’ stability remains as strong as ever. If Schenn is successful, that greatly improves the Blues odds the playoffs in 2025-26.
