We’re at the halfway stage of the UFL season, including the playoffs, so let’s update on how ex-Jets have been contributing in the spring league in 2025.
Quarterbacks
Andrew Peasley was a late addition to the league and has so far thrown just eight passes, completing five for 79 yards.
Running Backs
Deon Jackson has made some solid contributions so far with 222 yards and a touchdown on 51 carries. He’s also caught three passes and returned three kickoffs.
However, the big story at this position has been Kalen Ballage, who rushed for 110 yards on opening day and is currently just one yard behind the league leader with 306 rushing yards at an average of 4.6 yards per carry. He also has two touchdowns and 10 receptions.
Ballage even broke an all-time record!

Pass catchers
Denzel Mims was the biggest name here and he caught five passes for 51 yards but has since been released.
The top performer has been Isaiah Winstead, who is 7th in the league in receptions with 21 and ninth in yards with 219. Deontay Burnett is not far behind with 15 catches for 184 yards and two scores.
Offensive Line
Willie Tyler and Alec Lindstrom have both started every game with Tyler currently 11th in PFF’s pass blocking rankings despite giving up two sacks. Lindstrom has yet to surrender a sack.
Defensive Ends
Pita Taumoepenu is making a run at the defensive player of the year award as he’s tied for the league lead with 5.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.
Bradlee Anae has also produced well with four sacks as he has PFF’s best pass rushing grade in the league and Kyle Phillips is tied for 8th in the league with five tackles for loss.
Defensive Tackles
Perrion Winfrey has played over 200 snaps and has 17 tackles, eight pressures and a league-high three passes batted down at the line. Isaiah Mack and Freedom Akinmoladun have each recorded a sack in limited action.
Linebackers
Anthony Hines is fifth in the league with 45 tackles and has also recorded three sacks and two fumble recoveries. Noah Dawkins has added 11 tackles in limited action.
Cornerbacks
Rashad Wildgoose, Derrick Langford and Myles Jones have all started multiple games but none of them have made a major impact. Of the three Wildgoose (12 tackles, one pass breakup) has been the best as he’s only given up 87 yards on 16 targets. Langford has graded poorly but allowed a catch rate of just 44 percent.
Safeties
Kai Nacua has made positive contributions with 29 tackles and a tackle for loss. He also had this pick-six:

Special Teams
They’re aren’t any kickers, punters or long snappers in this league that are former Jets, but Ballage has been solid in the return game as he’s averaged 27 yards per kickoff return.
In kick coverage Jerome “Eminem” Kapp has excelled again as a punt gunner with six tackles in four games. Nehemiah Shelton has five special teams tackles, Caleb Johnson has four and Dawkins has three.
We’ll update you again at the end of the year.
