The final results for the Davante Adams trade are in.
The trade between the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets for wide receiver Davante Adams has wrapped up at the 2025 NFL Draft. The pick the Raiders received from the Jets has already been used by Vegas, but now it’s officially in the books.
Let’s dive in.
Original trade compensation for Davante Adams
At the trade deadline, the Jets acquired Adams for a conditional third-round selection. If Adams made the All-Pro team or he was active for the AFC Championship Game or Super Bowl, the pick would escalate to a second-round pick.
Final trade compensation for Davante Adams
Adams received zero All-Pro votes and the Jets were eliminated from the playoffs on December 8th, barely two months after the trade. That meant the condition was not meant to escalate the pick and Vegas would receive the Jets’ third-round pick.
When everything shook out in the draft order, the pick was 92 overall.
How did the Raiders use the pick from the Davante Adams trade?
Earlier this offseason, the Raiders sent the pick acquired from the Jets to the Seattle Seahawks in a trade for Geno Smith, a former Jets starting quarterback.
At pick 92, the Seattle Seahawks replaced Geno Smith with Alabama QB Jalen Milroe.
How did Davante Adams perform for the Jets?
In 11 games, Adams caught 67 asses for 854 yards and seven touchdowns. All very good numbers. But his compensation in 2025 was very hefty and with Aaron Rodgers out as starting quarterback, it didn’t make sense that Adams would stick around.
