It was not a good day to be New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers thanks to Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Leonard Williams on Sunday.
In a 26-21 win for his team in Week 13, Williams played a big role in knocking Rodgers down a few pegs… both on and off the field.
Rodgers threw a pick-six interception to the former Jet in the defeat. Then Williams added some insult to injury after the contest.
Prior to the loss to the Seahawks (7-5), the Jets (3-9) had their bye week. Following that time off, Rodgers said several times that he was feeling well physically. That’s not how Williams saw it.
When breakdown down his takeaway, Williams noted Rodgers potentially tossed up the poor pass because of his age.
“I think he’s an older guy,” Williams said, “doesn’t want to take big hits like that anymore. So, sometimes if you feel the guy coming full speed at him, he’s going to chuck it and duck.”
After that “duck” is when Williams pulled off his “big man interception.”
Williams’ tough comments for Rodgers can be found in the clip below:
