The New York Jets got beat by Geno Smith on and off the field in Week 13.
The Jets (3-9) coughed up a 14-point lead after a hot start and eventually lost 26-21 to the Seattle Seahawks (7-5).
The win for the Hawks was massive and it certainly was for their quarterback. Not only does Seattle stay on top of the NFC West standings with the victory, Smith beat the Jets in his first time returning to New York to face Gang Green.
Smith, who was drafted by New York in the second round of the 2013 NFL draft, spent four seasons with the franchise. His career came back to life with the Seahawks and he let his former team know it.
Following the win, Smith posted the perfect meme to social media, potentially alluding to a “funeral” of sorts in reference to the Jets’ 2024 season.
