The Jets are retaining a former draft pick:
The Jets have reached a contract extension with tight end Jeremy Ruckert — two years for $10 million with a max of $5.5 million per year, per source.

It’s fair to say that Ruckert hasn’t really lived up to expectations, but he has improved over the course of his career and hopefully will contribute well over the next few years.
With Mason Taylor already looking like a solid pro and with three years of rookie contract remaining, this is one position the Jets can essentially rule out from their major needs.
