Saunders was a day two pick in 2019 but started just five games in four seasons with the Chiefs, although he had a career-high 3.5 sacks in his final season.
In 2023 and 2024, he was in New Orleans, where he started 27 games, including every game of the 2023 season in which he recorded 57 tackles.
However, he was traded to the Jaguars in the offseason and had barely played this season.
Today’s other big story was that the Jets are reportedly turning to Tyrod Taylor to start next Sunday’s game against the Ravens.
