Another running back transaction as the week draws to a close:
We have signed RB Avery Williams to the practice squad.
Additionally, we have released RB Lawrance Toafili.

Williams is actually more of a return specialist than a running back and may have been added in response to Isaiah Williams’ struggles with both Kene Nwangwu and Keilan Robinson dealing with injuries.
The 27-year old former fifth round pick, who entered the league as a cornerback has plenty of return game experience with an 11 yards per punt return average at the NFL level. His kick return average is less impressive but was a healthy 27.4 yards per return last season. He can also be an asset on the coverage units.
