The Jets have announced their roster moves ahead of Sunday’s game:
We’ve signed WR Quentin Skinner, OL Marquis Hayes and DB Tre Brown to the active roster.
We also elevated QB Hendon Hooker for #NEvsNYJ

These moves fill up the spots vacated by the three players who were placed on injured reserve yesterday (Will McDonald, Kiko Mauigoa and Jay Tufele). They probably have more to do with locking up those players for next year rather than having to potentially compete with other teams to sign them to a futures deal when their practice squad contract runs out.
Nevertheless, in the case of Hayes and Hooker it does also provide them with some cover because Xavier Newman was listed as questionable and Tyrod Taylor missed practice due to personal reasons on Friday.
Brown would not have been eligible to play again this year had he not been signed to the main roster, having been elevated in the previous three games to use up his full year’s allowance.
