The Jets have been forced into another personnel move:
We’ve signed RB Khalil Herbert and placed RB Braelon Allen on injured reserve.

Allen will be out for at least four weeks so Herbert joins a group that also features Breece Hall and Isaiah Davis. Kene Nwangwu and Lawrance Toafili will probably remain as emergency cover.
The Jets are the former sixth-round pick’s fifth NFL team but he has spent most of his career with the Bears. He racked up over 700 yards from scrimmage in both 2022 and 2023, and averaged 4.8 yards per carry with the Bears. The 27-year old was less effective in Cincinnati last season.
Herbert has sub-4.5 speed, limited kickoff return experience and 11 career touchdowns. He had five 100-yard rushing performances in his first three seasons.
