The final set of roster moves have been announced:
We’ve signed QB Hendon Hooker, DL Kingsley Jonathan and OL Kohl Levao to the active roster and placed TE Mason Taylor, RB Isaiah Davis and OL Xavier Newman on IR.
We’ve also elevated RB Raheem Blackshear and DB Sam Womack for #NYJvsBUF

Hooker’s elevation likely means that Tyrod Taylor will be inactive and his time as a Jet will be over. It will be interesting to see how he fares should he get in the game because in theory he might have good scheme familiarity having spent time in Detroit.
The Jets also downgraded Brandon Stephens and Breece Hall to out, so that also explains some of the above moves.
Some of the other moves may just be designed to get guys onto the roster with a contract that keeps them signed through 2026. This would side-step the need to sign a futures deal on Monday.
