It’s been quite a ride over the last year for New York Jets rookie cornerback Sauce Gardner. Last year, he was a key piece in helping the Cincinnati Bearcats become the first Group of Five team to ever make the College Football Playoff.
In April, he was the No. 4 overall pick and was quickly viewed as one of the best cornerback prospects in some time. Now, he’s starting in Week 1 as a rookie for the Jets.
Not only that, but he actually is making even stronger use of his nickname “Sauce,” as he has partnered with Buffalo Wild Wings to make a new sauce, aptly called “Sauce Sauce”.
We had a chance to talk with Gardner regarding his new partnership with Buffalo Wild Wings, as well as his time so far with the Jets, from the day he was drafted to his work with the other cornerbacks in New York.
