At this point of the season, wins and losses only matter for the Jets for Draft positioning. The team is set to miss the Playoffs for a tenth consecutive season.
The focus for the team is on the future. Over the final seven weeks of the season, there will be an opportunity for some players to show they can be trusted with a major role in 2021. Others can at least convince the Jets they are worthy of a spot in a camp competition.
The Jets seem likely to draft a quarterback, but can Sam Darnold show enough to earn one last chance to win the starting job? Can Denzel Mims show potential as a future number one receiver? Can Chris Herndon show anything? How much progress will Ashtyn Davis and Bryce Hall make?
I talk about all of these players on the podcast today. Thanks as always for listening to the show.
