The Jets have a new offensive tackle!
The New York Jets selected Missouri offensive tackle Armand Membou with the #7 pick in the 2025 NFL draft, a talented and powerful offensive tackle.
The Jets needed an offensive tackle to complete their offensive line. Four of the five spots seem secure, but the right tackle spot was shaky at best before this selection. Membou may be the most athletic offensive tackle in this draft class. He dominated the athletic testing at the 2025 NFL combine, blazing through a 4.91 forty-yard dash and posting a 34 inch vertical jump, an incredible feat for a 330+ pound man. He’s a little short for a tackle, but he has great feet and outstanding power. He’s already an excellent run blocker, and he should develop into a sound pass protector over time.
I’m on board with this selection. Membou may have the most upside of any offensive lineman in this draft. The Jets needed a right tackle. Hopefully Membou will be more than up to the challenge and step in as an immediate starter at the position.
