This Jets campaign has not been fun. There’s no reason to pretend otherwise.
However, the season isn’t over yet, and there are still reasons to tune into Gang Green every Sunday.
If you’re struggling to find joy in the Jets these days, that’s ok. Maybe these wagers will renew your interest in New York’s season moving forward.
Every pick in this article was sourced from New Jersey’s many betting apps.
New York Jets Regular Season Wins: Over 4.5 (+150) via FanDuel Sportsbook
The thought of five Jets wins may seem impossible right now, considering the team’s 0-6 record. Yet, four of those losses were in one-possession contests. More importantly, New York has a string of winnable games upcoming, even if they’re not automatic victories.
Carolina is coming to town, and they have two road wins since selecting QB Bryce Young with the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. He didn’t start one of those victories.
After that, the Bengals and Browns are both a mess, especially offensively. If Baltimore remains as banged up as they are now, the Jets can compete in that one. Home dates with the Dolphins and Patriots are winnable, along with a trip to New Orleans between those matchups.
Come Week 18, Buffalo may be sitting all of their starters the way this season is unfolding. The moral of the story is that New York may not have any wins yet, but opportunities are on the horizon.
If over 4.5 wins is too much, FanDuel also has over 3.5 wins at -150 after Week 6.
New York Jets Division Finishing Position: 3rd (+220) via DraftKings Sportsbook
Even as the league’s last winless team, the Jets are only one game back of the messy Miami Dolphins in the standings. Although those Dolphins beat New York in round one this season, they’re also facing injuries, dysfunction, and a slightly tougher schedule.
One game can be made up quickly, especially since the Jets can beat the Dolphins at home in December.
This one’s for the optimists, who believe that a handful of wins are imminent and that Miami will remain miserable throughout 2025. If that’s you, take a swing at the Jets outplaying the Dolphins in the final few months of the season.
New York Jets to Finish With the Worst Regular Season Record (+320) via Bet365
This one is for the pessimists, emotional hedgers, and avid draft watchers.
Shockingly, even with the edge after more than one-third of the regular season, the Jets don’t have the shortest odds for this bet. That would be the Tennessee Titans, who also fired their head coach after a lifeless Week 6 loss. Those Titans, like most other teams in the running for this undesirable throne, also have a tougher remaining schedule on paper.
In practice, the Jets are currently in line for the league’s worst record and first overall pick. Reality tells us that this iteration of the team has yet to win a game, let alone establish a winning culture. Several stats indicate that New York’s record reflects its performance.
This isn’t the type of bet that anyone wants their team to win entering a season. However, a different green may provide solace as a rough season trudges along for Gang Green.
