Good morning Gang Green Nation! Rumors are out there suggesting the New York Jets are interested in signing guard Alijah Vera-Tucker to an extension. Both Vera-Tucker and fellow starting guard John Simpson are scheduled to become unrestricted free agents after this season. I wouldn’t mind seeing the Jets re-signing them both and keeping the offensive line intact for a while. However, the devil is always in the details, and the Jets may not be willing to offer both guards lucrative extensions. With plenty of other guys entering free agency next season, including Quincy Williams, Andre Cisco, Breece Hall and Josh Myers, among others, it will be interesting to see where the Jets’ priorities lie as they make their decisions building this team going forward.
