Bringing your daily links to the NFL’s New York Jets
Good morning Gang Green Nation! In our daily links today is a story by SNY listing the ten best athletes on New York sports teams today. Garrett Wilson is the highest rated football player at #7, beating out the New York Giants’ wide receiver Malik Nabers at #8 and defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence at #10. Nabers had a more productive rookie year last year than any Garrett Wilson has ever put up, and Nabers made the Pro Bowl. Lawrence has made the Pro Bowl each of the last three years. Garrett Wilson has never made a Pro Bowl team, let alone an All Pro team. Two time All Pro Sauce Gardner is listed as an honorable mention. One time All Pro and three time Pro Bowl defensive lineman Quinnen Williams isn’t mentioned. Neither is one time All Pro linebacker Quincy Williams. All of which begs the question, what were the SNY crew thinking? As much as I love what Garrett Wilson brings to the table for the Jets, and as much as I’m glad the Jets signed him to an extension, there is no credible argument to be made that he is the best football player in New York right now. SNY looks kinda clueless with this list.
