Good morning Gang Green Nation! The New York Jets have lost a stalwart of the 1968 Super Bowl III championship team. Former Jets defensive end Gerry Philbin died at age 83. He was one of the leaders of that great Jets team. He anchored a fierce Jets pass rush that drove a great Jets defense. That Jets team had it all. A great offensive line. Outstanding running backs. Two great receivers. One of the best quarterbacks in the game. One of the best head coaches in the game. Man, those were the days. RIP Gerry Philbin. Thanks for the memories.
