Good morning Gang Green Nation! Breece Hall says he’s one of the best running backs in the NFL. That’s nice, but outside of an electric seven games to begin his career in 2022, he has yet to earn that claim. Before Hall’s knee injury in 2022, he looked like he was a serious contender to develop into one of the best backs, if not the best back, in the NFL. However, since Hall came back from that injury, his career has mostly gone backwards. He was worse in 2023 than in 2022, and he was worse again in 2024 than in 2023. In fact, last year Hall looked like just another starting running back, lacking the explosiveness that defined his early potential and fumbling far too often. Hall claims he was hobbled nearly the entire season in 2024 with a knee injury that didn’t keep him out of the lineup and didn’t require surgery. We’ll see if the new season, new coaches, a new offensive scheme and potentially the best offensive line he’s ever worked with combine to bring him back to his 2022 form, when he seemed to have so very much potential. Fingers crossed for a Breece Hall revival in 2025.
