It should be an early night for Jets fans.
The NFL Draft is quite unpredictable. Nobody knows for sure what will happen.
What we can say is that it is quite likely the New York Jets will have their selection completed by 9:10 pm Eastern on night one.
Why is this? The Draft is scheduled to start at 8:00 pm Eastern. Each team will have ten minutes to make their selection. That means the Jets, owning the 7th pick, should have their pick in no later than 70 minutes after the proceedings begin.
Obviously, if the Jets trade down, the night could run much later. It’s also possible the night could be extended if the team trades back into the first round after making its initial selection. And of course the NFL does not always run a tight ship. Sometimes pre-Draft events push the start time later than scheduled.
But if all goes as planned, 9:10 pm should be the finish line.
