Week 1 brings a lot of promise and uncertainty for the Jets.
The team is rife with newness – both on the field and on the sideline – which leaves a lot up to interpretation. Zach Wilson’s preseason looked great but it’s impossible to know how that’ll translate during a regular-season game. The Jets’ defense also boasts a lot of inexperience and explosiveness, which could provide mixed results.
So for the match against the Panthers, against two former Jets and a coach who almost took the job two years ago, all we can go off is observation, old statistics and injury reports. The rest will be left up to the play on the field in the first game of the Wilson and Robert Saleh era.
With that in mind, here are five predictions for the Jets’ Week 1 game against the Panthers.
