The Jets swapped receivers in a series of transactions on Monday.
New York signed WR D.J. Montgomery after waiving him last week. The team released WR Rodney Adams in a corresponding move.
Montgomery played in three games for the Jets in 2021, tallying three receptions for 36 yards over 50 snaps. He also played 20 special teams snaps. Montgomery has spent time on the Jets’ practice squad over the past two years after signing with the Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2019.
Adams, meanwhile, signed a reserve/future contract with the Jets earlier this year after spending the 2021 season with the Bears.
