The Jets were hit with more injury woes on Tuesday, as the team has announced they have placed cornerback Brian Poole on IR.
The move means that Poole will be forced to miss at least the next three games. He left the loss last week with an injury to his knee.
Poole came back to the Jets this past offseason, and has started seven of the team’s nine games in 2020.
He’s appeared on 77 percent of the team’s defensive snaps. He’s also played 31 percent of the Jets’s special teams snaps.
This season Poole has 44 tackles, two interceptions, and a sack.
The move comes the same day the team has cut ties with veteran CB Pierre Desir, who was released after struggling in coverage.
