The Jets build the trenches with their first-round selection.
With the seventh pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Jets selected Armand Membou, OT, Missouri. Here’s everything you need to know.
Stats & Accolades
- 2022: Played in 11 games with five starts at right tackle
- 2023: Started 13 games at right tackle.
- 2024: Started 12 games at right tackle. Second-Team All-SEC.
What the Jets are getting:
Membou is arguably the best offensive lineman in this entire draft class. From being a dominant run-blocker on the ground and a sure-footed pass protector, his combination of skills and physical profile are astounding for a man of his size. Membou could feasibly play all five positions along the offensive line if he wanted to, but for now he’ll most likely settle in at right tackle for a team looking to protect their up-and-coming quarterback or veteran passer. If a team truly needed him to be a guard, I believe he’d soon become one of the best at that position, as well.
Strengths

Weaknesses
- Shows a limited amount of bend
- Can struggle against elite length if he doesn’t win hand fight off snap
- Not a consistent knee-bender leading to an excess of leaning into contact
