On Tuesday, the New York Jets made a big decision regarding the future of defensive tackle Quinnen Williams.
The AFC East franchise has reportedly exercised Williams’ fifth-year option for the 2023 season. That means he’ll remain a Jet for at least the next two seasons.
The Jets took Williams, the former Alabama star, in the 2019 NFL Draft. He has started 37 and played in 41 games in three years, totaling 136 tackles, 21 tackles for loss and 15.5 sacks.
Williams will remain in the Big Apple through the end of the 2023 season, and perhaps beyond.
The Jets have picked up DT Quinnen Williams’ fifth-year option for 2023, per source. So he’s locked in on fully-guaranteed money the next two years.

“Good decision. Need to bulk up that interior in this draft, but Quinnen is well worth his weight.”
