Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams turned the clock back for the New York Jets against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jets (4-10) won 32-25 over the Jaguars (3-11) and that duo played a huge part in the victory.
Adams was the stud, recording 198 yards on nine catches with two touchdowns while nearly securing a third. Adams’ chemistry from his past with Rodgers was on full display.
Both had to agree with that sentiment after the contest.
“Yeah, it did. Except he dropped one,” Rodgers joked.
“Oh, yeah, today was one of those days,” Adams added. “Very similar to the way we used to get it rolling.”
Rodgers went on to compliment his offensive line, too.
“I thought the offensive line played an outstanding game,” Rodgers said via video conference. “I had all day to throw.”
Rodgers finished with a below average 16-for-30 effort passing but his 289 yards and three touchdowns stood out.
Both players had their fun… it just left Jets fans wondering where that had been all along.
Full reaction from Adams and Rodgers can be found in the clips below:
Today was one of those days in the 2nd half it definitely felt very similar to the way we used to get it rolling, & with Aaron Rodgers being mobile now & not having that hammy nag him, he’ll make you pay & he’s still got it.”- Davante Adams#Jets pic.twitter.com/HM2vxSDYsK
