The New York Jets and the other 31 teams have until 4:00 pm Eastern on Tuesday to cut their rosters to 53 players. Teams bring 90 players to training camp so there will be a lot of cuts made over the next several hours.
The Jets began the process by cutting three players on Monday. The Jets will need to clear 34 more roster spots by day’s end either releasing, waiving, or reverting players tor reserve lists. Some difficult decisions lie ahead, especially over the last few spots.
