The final injury report of Pats week is out and so are a handful of Jets players:
It will be disappointing not to have some of their younger contributors out of the line-up on Sunday, as they would be some of the sources of potential optimism heading into next season with a strong finish. However, with the outcome on Sunday unimportant, their long-term health is more important.
With these players out, there could be additional opportunities for the likes of Jelani Woods/Stone Smartt, Eric Watts/Braiden McGregor, Mazi Smith/Payton Page and Kobe King.
The Patriots’ own injury list is somewhat shocking, as they will be without several contributors. Perhaps they feel they can afford to take the Jets lightly and be cautious with players as the playoffs approach.
