A year ago, it would be hard to find anyone who thought the Dolphins were in a better short-term position than the Jets. But now, the Dolphins have looked solid through the first five weeks of the season on offense, while the Jets look abysmal on all sides of the ball.
Ryan Fitzpatrick is having a resurgent year as he fends off Tua Tagovailoa and could continue that against a Jets defense that’s given up at least 350 yards every game this season. Fortunately, the Jets know this Dolphins offense. It is similar to the one the Jets went 1-1 against a year ago. However, the 2019 overall score between the teams, 47-39, favored Miami, and the Jets defense is much worse this year without Jamal Adams in the deep secondary.
