Let’s run through all 32 NFL teams plus a Giants Preview for what to look for this upcoming season, as provided by our resident Draft analyst, Wonder. (Note we rounded up or down on lines which resulted in an integer because of the skew at a 1/2 game was egregious. Las Vegas wants half game totals so that nothing ends in a tie.)
BUF 10.5 Under. Not worried about Allen and WRs. More worried about Defense and the personnel losses.
MIA 10 I think they’ll score a lot. The question is that a lack of pass rush and their secondary may doom them.
NYJ 10 Feast or famine. Will they be 7-10 or 13-4? As a Jet fan, I would lean Over. The only thing that matters is the health of the OL.
NE 5 Under. Couldn’t win 6 games if their lives depended on it. They will be trading the 1.01-1.03 pick to a team that needs a QB.
BAL 10.5 Over. If Lamar Jackson could throw the ball accurately, their offense would be sooo scary. BUT, my main concern is their OL.
CLE 9 Will Watson ever become a decent QB again, much less a top 5 QB when he played for Houston?
PIT 8.5 I think Russell Wilson is going to play better than consensus. He will be conservative but solid.
CIN 10.5 Is Chase playing? Does Burrow stay healthy? Assuming healthy, 10.5 is about right.
HOU 10 Over. Bad division. Great QB at a cheap price (rookie contract) allows them to invest in all of the other positions, salary cap-wise.
JAX 8.5 Over. At some point Trevor Lawrence is going to have to show me that he is as good as I thought he would be.
IND 8.5 Over. In the old NFL, Richardson would be given 2-3 years to learn the game. This is sad. He is being rushed.
TEN 6.5 Everything depends on Levis’s development. They aren’t going to win, so that does not matter. Develop the QB.
KC 11.5 Over. The SB champion only got better this offseason. Particularly on offense.
LVR 7 Under. Embarrassing who their QBs are.
DEN 6 Under. I would feel much better about the Under, if not for their inherent altitude advantage at home… but the Offense is going to be just pathetic.
LAC 9 Going to be sad if LAC front office wastes the talent of Herbert over his career.
DAL 10 Under. Time for Jerry Jones to move to assisted living.
PHL 11 They will have a top 5 offense period, guaranteed. Barkley + Dotson will help tremendously. Good coordinators.
NYG 6.5 Under. Tank for a QB. Must be in Top 5 and move up. (See more comments below at end.)
WAS 6.5 Over. Jayden Daniels will be NFL OROY.
DET 10.5 Over. Who are they going to lose 7 games to? Solid all the way around. Improved their secondary.
GB 10 Sleeper contender. Let’s see if they can put it all together.
MIN 7 Under. Sad for JJ McCarthy. He looked good.
CHI 9 Under. I know everyone loves the Bears and Caleb Williams, but it is too early. 2025 story.
TB 8 Another mediocre team in a bad division.
NO 7.5 Under. Another mediocre team in a bad division.
ATL 10 Let’s give the GM credit. Getting Judon and Simmons in the last week was brilliant.
CAR 5.5 Under. I think Young will be better, so the team will be better. But you have to walk before you run.
SF 11.5 Over. How can this team lose 6 games? Assuming Williams and Aiyuk are on the field, this team will be hell to deal with.
LAR 9 Over. I wouldn’t want to be a DC trying to stop this Offense. BUT, they are going to miss Aaron Donald.
SEA 8 Over. They just have a lot of good ball players at a lot of different positions. 9-8 more likely than 7-10.
AZ 7.5 Under. Will play decent football this year. They just lack the horses.
Wonder bet Nabers and Daniels to win OROY. For rookie most receiving yards, Harrison at +150 is no value, and Nabers at +390 is excellent value, despite Jones being a liability. They will be behind in every game and will be throwing the ball to Nabers in Q3/Q4 in garbage time. If the Giants are 7-10, Daboll should get an award. The front office should root for 2-15 and get a new QB. They have only one part of their team that is reasonable- the DL. The OL should be better, particularly if Schmitz comes on. Nabers will be great. Hyatt will need to convince me he is a #2. Robinson can be a good slot receiver. OL needs seasoning + 1 or 2 pieces. Because they can’t consistently run the football, they will have a hard time. The worst thing that happened to them was going 9-7-1 and winning a playoff game in 2022. They were -6 on point differential that year and it was an illusion.
