In a recent video shot by the Philadelphia Eagles, Saquon Barkley’s daughter lowkey fried her dad’s former team.
As Barkley sat in the back of an SUV recalling a story about his pride and joy, the Pro Bowl running back shared something funny that she had said when he told her he’d be playing in Philly.
She knows there’s a lot of history in my career with the Eagles. I remember one time when I was with the Giants we lost to Philly in the playoffs — we went to the diner to get some breakfast and there was a bird. She was like, ‘Daddy oh no! Oh no!’ I’m like ‘What is it?’ She points to the bird and she was like ‘It’s the Eagles! It’s the Eagles!’ … So when I told her that I’m gonna be going to Philly she kind of was just like ‘Does that mean we’re going to win now?’
Saquon joins New York’s longtime NFC East rival after six seasons in the Big Apple where he made two Pro Bowls and won Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2018.
Barkley is just one year removed from one of hist best seasons as a pro when he carried the Giants offense with a career-high 1,312 yards and 10 touchdowns.
However when the team chose to reward Daniel Jones with a new contract instead of the former No. 2 overall pick, the writing was on the wall that Saquon would soon be wearing another uniform.
