JAXSON DART WILL START AT QUARTERBACK…
According to multiple media outlets, the New York Giants have decided to replace Russell Wilson with rookie Jaxson Dart as the team’s starting quarterback. The Giants play the 3-0 Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
The Giants traded back up into the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft in order to select Dart.
The Giants signed Wilson as an unrestricted free agent from the Pittsburgh Steelers in March 2025. He was 0-3 as a starter for the Giants, completing 65-of-110 for 778 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions. His passer rating was 78.5.
ROSTER MOVES…
On Monday, the Giants waived OLB Tomon Fox, who was signed to the 53-man roster from the Practice Squad on Saturday.
The Giants have also signed PK Younghoe Koo to the Practice Squad. The 31-year old, 5’10”, 195-pound Koo originally signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted rookie free agent after the 2017 NFL Draft. He has spent time with the Chargers (2017), Atlanta Legends (2019), New England Patriots (2019), and Atlanta Falcons (2019-2025). Koo was cut by the Falcons last week. In eight NFL seasons, Koo has made 181-of-211 field goal attempts (85.8 percent). He is also 175-of-182 on extra point attempts (96.2 percent).
To make room for Koo, the team terminated the Practice Squad contract of ILB Curtis Jacobs.
