Former Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is arguably the biggest name in a coaching cycle loaded with big names, and just about every team with an opening is looking his way. While the longtime Raven and one-time Super Bowl champion has interviewed with multiple teams (or, at the very least, has scheduled interviews), it appears as though one team is the clear favorite to land his services.
According to Ian O’Connor of The Athletic, two prominent former Giants are trying to recruit John Harbaugh to the team. Former head coach Brian Daboll reportedly reached out to Harbaugh to sell him on coaching quarterback Jaxson Dart, while two-time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning has reportedly been in touch with the former Raven as well.

It’s easy to see why Eli Manning is doing his part to recruit John Harbaugh. As a lifelong Giant, the former first-overall pick won two Super Bowls with the organization and remains a key part of the franchise, even though he did call it a career over half a decade ago. Daboll, meanwhile, is more of a surprise. Fired head coaches tend not to leave glowing reviews of their previous employers, but the former leader of the Giants seems to be overlooking his rough exit for the betterment of Dart. After all, Daboll selected him with his first-round pick and likely wants to see him succeed.
If the Giants cannot get John Harbaugh, they will likely pivot to former Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski. Stefanski brought the Browns to the playoffs twice in his six years with the team, which is remarkable considering the state of the roster. If Stefanski lands the job, he should provide some stability and hope for Dart and the New York Giants as a whole.
