Odell Beckham Jr. Drawing Little Interest in 2025

May 27, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

The former New York Giants star WR Odell Beckham Jr. could be headed for retirement after 10 NFL seasons, as he is drawing little interest from NFL teams. Once one of the NFL’s brightest stars, Beckham Jr. has seen his career stall in recent years due to injuries and inconsistent production, leaving his future in doubt.

Odell Beckham Jr. Drawing Little Interest as NFL Future Remains Unclear

From Superstardom in New York to Injury Setbacks

The New York Giants selected Odell Beckham Jr. with the 12th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. Many people wondered what happened to Beckham Jr. after his New York Giants days. He exploded onto the scene as a rookie with 91 receptions, 1,305 yards, and 12 touchdowns in just 12 games, winning Offensive Rookie of the Year. His one-handed grab against the Dallas Cowboys instantly became one of the most iconic plays in league history.

Injuries, however, soon disrupted his rise. Beckham Jr. fractured his ankle in 2017, ending his season after only four games. In 2020, he tore his ACL with the Cleveland Browns, then tore it again during Super Bowl LVI with the Los Angeles Rams. He missed the entire 2022 season while recovering.

Brief Stints with Ravens and Dolphins

Beckham Jr. signed with the Baltimore Ravens in 2023 and totaled 35 catches for 565 yards and 3 touchdowns across 14 games. In 2024, the Miami Dolphins added him on a one-year deal. Knee surgery delayed his debut, and after returning midseason, he produced just 9 catches for 55 yards in 9 games. The Dolphins released him in December.

Career Numbers Still Hold Weight Despite Odell Beckham Jr. Drawing Little Interest

Despite recent struggles, Beckham Jr.’s career totals include 575 receptions, 7,987 yards, and 59 touchdowns over 119 games. His first few years in New York remain among the most dominant for a wide receiver.

Odell Beckham Jr. drawing little interest Means Retirement Becomes a Real Possibility

As of May 2025, Beckham Jr. remains unsigned and is drawing little interest from NFL teams. He previously expressed interest in returning to Baltimore or Los Angeles, but no team has responded. The lack of known interest and rumors around his name suggest his career may be coming to an end. Unless something changes, Beckham Jr., at age 32 now, may quietly exit the league after a memorable decade.
