How sweet it is! I hate the Eagles. This win is feeling sooooo awesome. And we have TEN DAYS TO ENJOY THIS ONE! Speaking about 10 days, I think I read before the game that the Giants had lost 11 straight on Thursday night?! But not on this night. On this night, the Giants won.
GREAT WIN!
- The Giants have a rookie QB who could easily be 3-0 if he had support + better coaches
- Young players are getting a ton of start/snaps
- Without Nabers and (a healthy) Slayton, the Giants were able to move the ball
- Better late than never: Lil Jordan Humphrey was a 6’4″ presence. Helped the offense despite a big drop. 49 yards! Important blocking. He needs to be WR3 or even the X WR when Slayton is out.
- Adoree Jackson is so toast that even Hyatt could ball
- Cor’Dale Flott! That INT made up for the nightmare turnover in New Orleans.
- Jaxson Dart continues to impress. He was the most consistent player on the field.
- Giants break an 8 game losing streak in the NFC East
- Jon Gruden: “Jaxson Dart has arrived!”
- Cam Skattebo is giving the Giants an identity. We said this when he was drafted.
- Booooooooooooo!!!!
- A lot of holes to fix on the Defense but they shut them out in the second half and were tough on 3rd down.
- Dart brings an energy… each time he is on the field you feel like they can score. As soon as Wilson came in, his ball gets batted at the LOS. Someone on Twitter says Winston should be the backup.
- Dart was dropping in dimes. There were two TDs dropped this game, one by Humphrey and one by Hyatt.
- The pass rush was disappointing but I did see they were adhering to pocket contain.
- Dane Belton seals it with the punch out turnover.
- The Giants OL continues to play well. Before the game started, the news of Jalen Carter being ruled out with an injury was HUGE. His presence in 2 weeks will make it a different game…. but…. with Dart… you feel like anything is possible.
- I wish they ran the ball with Dart a lot less. On scrambles, yes. On design runs/RPOs, no.
- Theo Johnson leaves so much on the field. Fails to turn around to find a ball perfectly placed by Dart on two possessions. It is another reminder that Dart has skills. If the players around him step up, there is so much upside.
- Andrew Thomas when healthy and playing a full game is 2-3 last year, 2-1 this year, for a total 4-4 overall, while the team the past two years otherwise is 1-14.
- The Giants were 25 seconds away from beating DAL. They were clearly the better team vs NO. They beat a 3-0 SD team. They beat a 4-1 PHL team. You are what your record says you are at 2-4. They could be 4-2 with more breaks. Protect Dart and see where this goes.
