NEW YORK GIANTS LOSE OUT ON TODD MONKEN…
Head Coach John Harbaugh suffered his first major setback as head coach of the New York Giants when Todd Monken accepted the head coaching position with the Cleveland Browns on Wednesday. The 59-year old Monken was Harbaugh’s first choice to be his offensive coordinator with the Giants, a role he also served under Harbaugh with the Baltimore Ravens from 2023 to 2025.
Monken was also expected to bring along George Warhop, who was the offensive line coach for the Ravens from 2024-2025. But Warhop is also now following Monken to the Browns.
GIANTS REQUEST TO INTERVIEW DAVIS WEBB…
The Giants are one of several teams to request permission from the Denver Broncos to interview Davis Webb for their offensive coordinator vacancy. Webb served as the offensive pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Broncos last year. The 31-year old Webb, a former quarterback, was originally drafted by the Giants in the 3rd round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
RON SHRIFT REPORTEDLY JOINS THE GIANTS…
According to one media report, Baltimore Ravens Strength and Conditioning Coach Ron Shrift has joined the Giants. Schrift worked under Baltimore Ravens Strength and Conditioning Coordinator Scott Elliott and was with the Ravens for nine seasons.
