NEW YORK GIANTS HEAD COACHING INTERVIEWS BEGIN…
The New York Giants have begun the interview process to determine who will coach the team in 2026. It was reported on Wednesday that the Giants completed their interview of Mike Kafka, who served as interim head coach of the team for the last seven games.
According to various media reports, the Giants also plan to interview the following candidates in the coming days:
- John Harbaugh (former Ravens head coach)
- Kevin Stefanski (former Browns head coach)
- Lou Anarumo (Colts defensive coordinator)
- Vance Joseph (Broncos defensive coordinator)
- Mike McCarthy (former Packers/Cowboys head coach)
- Raheem Morris (former Falcons head coach)
- Antonio Pierce (former Raiders head coach)
There has been much media speculation that Harbaugh may be the team’s top choice. But as many as nine teams – more than currently have head-coaching vacancies – are very interested in Harbaugh.
GIANTS RE-SIGN SEVEN PLAYERS…
The Giants have re-signed the following seven players, who were on the team’s Practice Squad, to reserve/future contracts:

- OL Jake Kubas
- OL Reid Holskey
- OLB Trace Ford
- ILB Swayze Bozeman
- CB Patrick McMorris
- CB Myles Purchase
BOBBY OKEREKE WINS “NFC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK”…
New York Giants inside linebacker Bobby Okereke has been awarded “NFC Defensive Player of the Week” honors for his performance against the Dallas Cowboys in the regular-season finale. In that game, Okereke was credited with six tackles, an interceptions, and a fumble recovery.
