JULY 27, 2025 NEW YORK GIANTS TRAINING CAMP REPORT…
The New York Giants held their fourth summer training camp practice of the year on Sunday at Quest Diagnostics Training Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
INJURY REPORT…
The following players remain on injury lists:
- Active/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) List: LT Andrew Thomas (foot) and RB Eric Gray (knee)
- Active/Non-Football Injury (NFI) List: OLB Victor Dimukeje (pectoral)
WR Wan’Dale Robinson (unknown) and OLB Brian Burns (unknown) were both limited in practice after their collision in practice on Friday. However, Robinson appeared to bang his knee into a safety and was helped off the field by trainers. He stayed on the sidelines after that.
WR Jalin Hyatt (cramps) returned to practice but was limited.
WR Bryce Ford-Wheaton took a step and collapsed to the ground in team drills. He was carted off of the field with his teammates gathered around him.
PRACTICE NOTES…
Some snippets from various media sources:
- The Giants were in helmets, jerseys, and shells. They will be in full pads on Monday.
- The emphasis in today’s practice was 2nd-and-long and 3rd-down situations.
- Deonte Banks and Cor’Dale Flott continue to split first-team reps at the outside corner spot opposite of Paulson Adebo.
- With Jalin Hyatt limited, Beaux Collins received some first-team reps.
- Greg Van Roten received most of the first-team reps at right guard.
- In 7-on-7 drills, CB Andru Phillips broke up a pass from QB Russell Wilson to WR Darius Slayton.
- Inside linebackers Micah McFadden and Darius Muasau then combined to break up a QB Russell Wilson pass to TE Theo Johnson.
- In 7-on-7 drills, CB Nic Jones broke up a pass from QB Jaxson Dart to WR Zach Pascal.
- In 7-on-7, QB Jaxson Dart threaded a needle to TE Theo Johnson against CB Nic Jones. Johnson broke free for a long gain.
- In 11-on-11 team drills, WR Darius Slayton made a fantastic one-handed catch on a deep ball from QB Russell Wilson against CB Cor’Dale Flott.
- CB Andru Phillips deflected a screen pass from QB Russell Wilson to WR Malik Nabers that was intercepted by S Jevon Holland for a defensive touchdown.
- RB Cam Skattebo broke off a long run along the left sideline.
- QB Jaxson Dart completed a long pass to WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette against CB Nic Jones.
- QB Jameis Winston completed passes to WR Bryce Ford-Wheaton and TE Thomas Fidone for solid gains on back-to-back plays.
- QB Russell Wilson completed a long pass to WR Malik Nabers against CB Deonte Banks.
- QB Jaxson Dart completed a long pass to WR Beaux Collins against CB Tre Hawkins.
- QB Jameis Winston completed a deep pass to WR Dalen Cambre.
- QB Jaxson Dart completed a pass to WR Montrell Washington for a good gain against CB Nic Jones and S Dane Belton.
- OLB Abdul Carter got around RT Jermaine Eluemunor for a “sack” of QB Russell Wilson. Carter followed that up with a spin move against Elumunor for another “sack.”
- QB Russell Wilson ran for a 1-yard score after a pass interference penalty on CB Cor’Dale Flott gave the Giants new life on 4th down.
- On the last drive of practice, in the rain, QB Jaxson Dart completed a long pass to WR Antwane Wells. He followed that up with a passes to wide receivers Beaux Collins and Jordan Bly for more good gains.
- ILB Ty Summers blew up a quarterback draw by Jaxson Dart.
- On 4th down, RB Cam Skattebo made a circus catch in the end zone off a deflected pass, but he was slightly out-of-bounds on the play.
- Overall, this was clearly Jaxson Dart’s best practice so far of training camp. He completed his first 10 passes and finished practice 11-of-13. Four of Dart’s completions went to WR Beaux Collins.
- Five of QB Russell Wilson’s 10 completions went to WR Malik Nabers.
