- Get Bellinger nearly all primary TE snaps. This NY Giants blog has loved this guy from Day 1. The Giants obviously love Johnson more. Yet we have seen over and over again how last year and (the big drop) last week Johnson is not ready for all of it. Yes, he has the potential. But do him a service and let him watch Bellinger catch everything in sight as a reminder before his next opportunity.
- 2 of the 13 snaps in the red zone last week went to the TE. Try Bellinger in the end zone now.
- Wilson doesn’t use the middle of the field/TE seam as well. Be unpredictable and do this with Bellinger. We know Safety is bracketing Nabers, so help him by stressing that part of the field
- Play Carter nearly all snaps, including ILB to ease the McFadden loss. Carter was the read defender last week in Washington’s scheme… how insane is it that he’s only out there for half the snaps?!
- Replace GVR with Neal and run the ball behind HIM. If we can lose with GVR, we can lose with Neal. But that run game was pathetic and WILSON IS A PLAY ACTION GUY. So you need Neal as a road grader else play action is doomed.
- Help your damn OL with design QB draws, RB draws, TE chip mid screens, RB screenSSS, flares, slants etc. Damn it, help them! There were zero RB/TE screens. There should have been 4. It keeps the Defensive pass rush off balance when you do that. It’s insane to me that they ran so many of these plays in preseason and then … nothing… when you needed it. This is elementary coaching failure.
- Throw some moon balls
- Get ready to pull Wilson for Dart if not delivering
- Bring in voodoo witch doctors to get Andrew Thomas (“doubtful” again) back on the field
- Don’t play Nubin and Holland in Houston. The game is in Dallas.
- Tell Dex the season has begun, time to play through those double teams like we know you can
- Tell Daboll that if he loses again, he better let the media know the loss is on him, because he’s well past the time to be held accountable for the product and quality of play. He needs 100% of the responsibility and accountability. Maybe his players will respond to that as well.
- EXECUTE YOUR DAMN ASSIGNMENT OR YOU ARE BENCHED (Parcells- if I lose with you, it doesn’t matter, so I can lose with someone else). This is how the coach holds himself AND his players accountable. The coach accepts full responsibility for the product and the player is benched and then ultimately released if he is not executing.
- Jalin Hyatt got zero snaps. Cut him and find someone else who can contribute. I’m tired of seeing players being protected by a bad GM decision/trade up. Yes, even the GM needs accountability. Next man up. (Oh by the way, don’t cut him until after KC. They are short WRs and Mahomes will use a guy like this.)
- Keep Carter out there on punts! If opposing special teams coaches start double teaming him at the line, I’d bring in Kayvon Thibodeaux and Brian Burns as well, and then slip the guy who’s jamming the gunner and let him rush the punter too
