The New York Giants’ Week 15 Sunday Night Football game in Landover, Md. against the Washington Commanders is not quite winner take all in terms of making the NFC playoffs. But, it’s close.
The Giants and Commanders are both 7-5-1 after having tied 20-20 at MetLife Stadium two weeks ago. Based on tie-breakers, Washington is the No. 6 seed and the Giants the No. 7 seed. The 7-7 Seattle Seahawks are the seventh seed and the 6-7 Detroit Lions the eight seed. Both of those teams have tie-breaker advantages on the Giants by virtue of head-to-head victories.
Per Football Outsiders, here is exactly how big the game is in terms of its playoff implications.
