Although New York Giants training camp does not officially begin until Tuesday, July 27 when the full squad arrives in East Rutherford, New Jersey, some players will find their way to the Quest Diagnostics Training Center beginning on Wednesday.
That’s right, it’s rookie report day!
Wide receiver Kadarius Toney, edge rusher Azeez Ojulari and the rest of the team’s 2021 NFL draft class, as well as all other offseason rookie additions, will be among the early arrivals.
On Thursday, quarterbacks, including Daniel Jones, and rehabbing players (see: Saquon Barkley) will also report to East Rutherford.
As noted previously, the full squad will then report next Tuesday with the first practice, which will be closed to the fans, scheduled for 9:30 a.m. EDT on Wednesday morning.
The Giants will hold a total of four practices next week before giving the players off on Sunday. They will return the following week with another six practices and so on, and so forth.
On August 11, the Giants will hold “Fan Fest,” which will be a fully padded practice with announcers that’s open to the fans. It will be the only open practice of training camp.
Football is officially back!
