I’m not going to dissect everything. We didn’t expect a W and we didn’t get one. We wanted competitiveness and we got that. At this point at least we battled. The Defense caved again. No shock.
Can we just cut Tae Banks and Jalin Hyatt and call it a day? Tae Banks with yet another awol run tackle effort on the GB first TD. Hyatt breaks off his route (according to Brees) on the Jameis INT which effectively ends the game.
Winston over Wilson? Duh.
Isaiah Hodgins over other WR options? Duh x 2. He led all Giants WRs with 5 receptions for 57 yds. This was on 3 days of practice. There has to be some other reason he hasn’t been on this roster up until this point.
Maybe we can see one of more of Hyatt, Banks and/or Bowen relieved of duties.
There was a key 4th down towards the end of Q3, Giants trailing 19-13, 4th & 3 at the GB 10 yd line. Nothing there, Winston trying to escape the pocket with lanes. Cannot. Sacked to end drive. This is precisely why Dart is the next Giants franchise QB. We’ve grown to expect that inate maneuverability + cool/calm navigating in between bodies. I look forward to seeing more of that, as soon as next week.
