Not practicing on Wednesday were WR Gunner Olszewski (Concussion), OG Greg Van Roten (Shoulder), DL Rakeem Nuñez-Roches (Ankle), DL D.J. Davidson (Illness), OLB Kayvon Thibodeaux (Shoulder), OLB Victor Dimukeje (Knee), CB Nic Jones (Shoulder), and P Jamie Gillan (Left Knee).
Limited was TE Theo Johnson (Toe).
Fully practicing were RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. (Hip), WR Beaux Collins (Neck), OL Joshua Ezeudu (Calf), ILB Darius Muasau (Ankle), ILB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (Neck/Knee), CB Art Green (Hamstring), and CB Korie Black (Biceps).
A day after the Giants opened the practice window for two players on Injured Reserve, they also did so for two more on Wednesday. ILB Darius Muasau (ankle) and CB Art Green (hamstring) were designated for return yesterday and WR Beaux Collins (neck) and OG Joshua Ezeudu (calf) were designated for return on Wednesday.
GIANTS SIGN TWO TO PRACTICE SQUAD…
The Giants have signed wide receiver/kick returner Xavier Gipson and punter Cameron Johnston to the Practice Squad. To make room, the Giants terminated the Practice Squad contracts of WR Ray-Ray McCloud and CB Myles Purchase.
The Giants had claimed Gipson off of waivers from the Jets in September. He was waived a week later and then claimed by the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles waived him on Sunday. The 5’9”, 189-pound Gipson was originally signed by the Jets as an undrafted rookie free agent after the 2023 NFL Draft. Gipson has played in 40 regular-season games with three starts, catching 29 passes for 274 yards and one touchdown. Mostly he was used as a kickoff and punt returner by the Jets and Eagles, averaging 25.9 yards per kickoff return and 9.1 yards per punt return and one touchdown. However, he has 12 career fumbles, losing five.
The 33-year old Johnston was originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the Philadelphia Eagles after the 2017 NFL Draft. He has spent time with the Eagles (2017-2020), Houston Texans (2021-2023), Pittsburgh Steelers (2024-2025), and Buffalo Bills (2025). The Bills released him from Injured Reserve with an injury settlement in November. Overall, Johnston has played in 99 regular-season games, averaging 47.4 yards per punt (41.2 yards net).
