2025

Up 32-30 with 0:37 left and lose 33-32
I’m familiar with epic implosions. They are the failure of coaches to coach for 60 minutes. The best skilled players the Giants have are their pass rushers and you rush 3. So don’t tell me it’s up to the players to win when the coaches coach not to lose.
Daboll should get fired today but the Giants will put a brave face on it and he’ll likely be fired at the end of the season. If Dart (who is fantastic) “saves” him, he still needs to be fired. You can find another qualified coach to lead a team that has all 3 essentials (QB, protect QB, Rush the QB). It’s a coveted roster now. The coaching is the weakest link.
Dart is worth our time. Daboll is not. Since I’m not a masochist, I may have to sit this out until Daboll/Bowen is removed. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. So only a masochist is going to expect Daboll to stop imploding this team. He has consistently underachieved.
- Prevent Offense/Defense
- FG kicker insanities 2024, 2025 (yes Schoen has his hand in this, but Schoen isn’t trying these guys out/passively accepting the bad choice)
- WR active/roster
- Exposing Dart to greater injury risk
- Emotional hothead who no one wants to work for
- Took forever to bench Tae Banks (who maybe has a bet on Under 5.5 wins, because he is otherwise diabolically destroying the team any chance he gets on the field)
- Took forever to bench James Hudson after not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 penalties on the same drive
So let’s summarize with Dan Schneier:
If anyone is looking for a simple way we know that Brian Daboll is not it for the Giants, ask any fan if they felt like the game was over. Their answer is no, in spite of this stat: 1,602 straight times a team was up 18 with 6 min left, that team has won. Until Daboll’s Giants.
Last thought- Dart is a winner. Seeing this kid extend his body horizontally so that he could get the final TD without his knee touching the ground… it tells me about a young man who is so savvy. He is a franchise QB. I don’t want him surrounded by losing. He’s too good.
