AUGUST 12, 2025 NEW YORK GIANTS TRAINING CAMP REPORT…
The New York Giants held their thirteenth summer training camp practice of the year on Tuesday. It was a joint practice with the New York Jets at their facility in Florham Park, New Jersey.

“Looking forward to a good day of practice here against the Jets,” said Head Coach Brian Daboll before practice. “Got a lot of respect from Coach Glenn and a good two days to get some good work in.”

INJURY REPORT…
The following players remain on injury lists:

  • Active/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) List: LT Andrew Thomas (foot) and RB Eric Gray (knee)
  • Active/Non-Football Injury (NFI) List: OLB Victor Dimukeje (pectoral)

RB Cam Skattebo (hamstring), WR Malik Nabers (unknown), WR Jalin Hyatt (unknown), WR Da’Quan Felton (unknown), OG Evan Neal (unknown), ILB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (unknown), CB Andru Phillips (unknown), CB Tre Hawkins (hamstring), and CB Korie Black (groin) did not practice.

LT James Hudson (unknown) walked off the field with trainers, but returned. CB Deonte Banks (unknown) went to the locker room and did not return.

PRACTICE NOTES…
Some snippets from various media sources:

  • WR Beaux Collins was working with the first team.
  • Art Green and O’Donnell Fortune received some first-team reps at cornerback.
  • In 7-on-7 drills, QB Justin Fields completed three straight passes to WR Garrett Wilson against CB Deonte Banks.
  • S Jevon Holland knocked a ball out of the hands of WR Josh Reynolds.
  • In 7-on-7 drills, QB Russell Wilson was 6-of-8 and QB Jaxson Dart was 6-of-6. In these drills, Wilson connected twice with WR Beaux Collins. Dart threw a sideline pass for a big gain to WR Montrell Washington.
  • In team drills, the Giants’ first-team offensive line struggled in pass protection. In the first four plays, they gave up two sacks. QB Russell Wilson also had a pass batted and had to scramble, which ended up being a big gain.
  • In team drills on offense, the Giants were sloppy too with a dropped snap and dropped passes, as well as penalties. Aside from a few plays, the Giants had issues moving the ball through the air for much of practice.
  • QB Jaxson Dart hit WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette against the blitz for a good gain. He also threw a deep pass to TE Theo Johnson.
  • RB Devin Singletary broke off a couple of big cutback runs. RB Dante Miller also had a sizeable gain.
  • ILB Micah McFadden blew up a running play by RB Breece Hall.
  • OLB Abdul Carter beat OG Alijah Vera-Tucker for a sack. But other than that play, QB Justin Fields was 5-of-5 against the Giants’ first-team defense at the start of team drills.
  • In Jets’ move-the-ball drills, QB Justin Fields had a pass batted down at the line, RB Breece Hall was tackled for a loss, and OLB Brian Burns sacked Fields.
  • In second opportunity for Jets’ offense, OLB Brian Burns tackled RB Braelon Allen for a 2-yard loss and then sacked QB Justin Fields, beating RT Armand Membou.
  • In third opportunity for Jets’ offense, the Jets again could not move the ball and QB Justin Fields was sacked on 4th down (a number of Giants’ defenders were around him).
  • In red zone drills, QB Russell Wilson threw a really nice back-shoulder touchdown to TE Theo Johnson against two defenders.
  • Also in the red zone, RB Devin Singletary scored from five yards out.
  • QB Russell Wilson then threw a touchdown pass to WR Darius Slayton. Three touchdowns in three straight plays.
  • In red zone drills, OLB Brian Burns had yet another sack. RB Braelon Allen was tackled for no gain. DL Darius Alexander had a sack. After an incomplete pass, QB Justin Fields threw a touchdown to TE Jeremy Ruckert.
  • QB Jaxson Dart threw a back-shoulder touchdown to WR Zach Pascal.
  • CB O’Donnell Fortune broke up a pass.
  • QB Russell Wilson finished team drills 5-of-10 with two touchdowns. QB Jaxson Dart was 11-of-17 with one touchdown.
  • The Giants’ run defense was very stout.
