Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown will miss Week 8’s battle against the New York Giants as the superstar recovers from a hamstring injury. Brown, a three-time Pro Bowler and one-time Super Bowl champion, missed practice throughout the week despite putting up a strong performance in Week 7.

A.J. Brown Ruled OUT Of Eagles-Giants With Hamstring Injury
The timing of the A.J. Brown hamstring injury is a little confusing, as the veteran wide receiver didn’t appear to injure himself in Week 7. Starring in a nailbiter against the Minnesota Vikings, the wideout finished the night with four receptions for 121 yards and two touchdowns on six targets. However, he didn’t practice throughout the week, and the team already ruled him out.
With Brown sidelined, look for the Philadelphia Eagles to heavily feature first-round pick DeVonta Smith. Smith is one of the league’s better wide receivers but has played second-fiddle to Brown since the wideout first joined the team in 2022. So far on the season, the Alabama product has recorded 38 receptions for 504 yards and two touchdowns on 46 targets. While Smith should see the most work in place of Brown, tight end Dallas Goedert and running back Saquon Barkley should see a few additional targets as well.
The 2025 season has been a wild one for A.J. Brown, and his hamstring injury is only the latest chapter in his strange campaign. After alluding to being unhappy with the team throughout the offseason, Brown began the season by hauling in just one catch for eight yards against the Dallas Cowboys. While he hasn’t been as consistent as usual, the wide receiver has recorded a respectable 29 receptions for 395 yards and three touchdowns through seven games.
