New York Giants general manager Dave Gettleman has become somewhat of a whipping boy over the past several years. Many question his approach to talent evaluation, cap management (which is more of Kevin Abram’s jam) and whether or not he’s out of touch with the modern game.
But Gettleman has been around the NFL a long time and found unparalleled levels of success. He’s been a part of seven Super Bowl teams and owns three title rings — two as an executive and one as an administrator.
Two of those titles came during his previous stint with the Giants. In 1998, Gettleman served as a scout before being named the director of pro personnel from 1999-2011. In 2012, prior to taking over as Carolina Panthers GM, Gettleman served as New York’s senior pro personnel analyst.
In 2018 until present day, Gettleman has served as Giants GM.
So, other than those two titles, what has Gettleman brought to the Giants? A wealth of game-changing and franchise-altering talent. Here’s a look at 32 of his most key additions during his two stints in East Rutherford.
