Paige Bueckers, Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart will head to Indianapolis later this month.
UConn women’s basketball is set to be well-represented at the 2025 WNBA All-Star game. Napheesa Collier was named one of two captains for the contest while Paige Bueckers and Breanna Stewart were also named starters.
The 10 starters were picked by fans, players and media. The fan vote accounted for 50 percent while the players and media each had a 25 percent say.
Bueckers was voted the top guard on aggregate and will be just the sixth No. 1 overall pick in league history to start an All-Star game. She currently leads all rookies with 18.4 points, 5.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game despite playing for a 5-13 Dallas Wings squad.

Meanwhile, Collier is an early frontrunner for MVP, leading the league with 24.4 points and ranks fourth with 8.5 rebounds. She’s been ultra-efficient and is just shy of a 50/40/90 shooting split at 52.5/39.6/94.3. The Lynx are 14-2 and reached the Commissioner’s Cup final.
As for Stewart, her 20.8 points are good for third in the W while she’s reeled in 6.0 rebounds and dished out 3.7 assists. This will be her seventh All-Star Game, which is tied for fourth-most among UConn players behind Sue Bird (13), Diana Taurasi (11), Tina Charles (8) and Nykesha Sales (8).
The All-Star reserves will selected by the league’s head coaches and will be announced on Sunday, July 6. From there, Collier and Caitlin Clark will draft their rosters on July 8 during ESPN’s WNBA Countdown. The All-Star Game itself is set for July 19 in Indianapolis.
