
The rising sophomore’s international duties continue this summer.
Sarah Strong is set to compete in the 2025 FIBA 3×3 World Cup after being named to the USA senior 3×3 national team on Friday. The event will be held from June 23-29 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Strong is experienced in the 3×3 circuit as a three-time gold medalist at the U18 3×3 World Cup in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Earlier this summer, she represented the US at the 2025 FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series Marseille Stop in France, finishing in sixth place after a quarterfinal exit. Strong also brought home a gold medal at the 2024 FIBA U18 AmeriCup (5×5) last year.
The rest of the US team includes former Creighton star Morgan Maly, LSU’s Mikaylah Williams and Oklahoma’s Sahara Williams. The Americans were placed in Pool B and will open the tournament against on June 24 against Czechia (1:40 a.m. ET.) and the Netherlands (4:20 a.m. ET). Late on June 25 and into June 26, they’ll take on Japan (11:50 p.m. ET) before finishing pool play against Chile (2:05 a.m. ET).

Before the World Cup begins, Strong and the US team will partake in the FIBA 3×3 Pro Circuit from June 18-19 in Mongolia.
Strong isn’t the only Husky spending time with USA Basketball this summer. Incoming transfer Kayleigh Heckel was invited to USA Basketball’s U19 trials and will compete for a spot on the U19 World Cup roster beginning on June 18.
